Dear Fernando,
I just finished the Tour Down Under, an intense race for 470 miles through southern Australia .
is where I made my return to racing only three years ago. And it is my last competitive cycling event abroad.
In 2011, I will be riding for fun, fitness and the cause has been at the center of my life since I heard those three words: "You have cancer."
This year, I have the intention to spend less time searching yellow jerseys, and more time to raise awareness and funds to fight cancer.
And I hope you do the right thing by me. Will you join me and thousands of participants in the LIVESTRONG team in the intensification of our efforts on behalf of the 28 million cancer survivors in the world?
I know what you feel your life upside down when cancer occurs.
No
cancer survivor ever have to face this disease alone and that is why we need your help to strengthen our work to have information about cancer and support cancer survivors at each step of the road.
Every dollar you raise as a participant of the LIVESTRONG team will help us reach more people with information, help and services they need. No time like the present.
Whether you are thinking about your first event or continue a personal tradition, now is the time to register and start training. One mile at a time, can help improve the lives of cancer survivors and their families.
See you out there on the road.
Thanks, Lance Armstrong
